About the Coach

Qualified Life Coach Helen Yarnold, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has found that through her training she not only uses the concepts surrounding coaching with her clients but now most definitely “walks the walk” rather than just “talking the talk”.

"I have spent many years now through my training, encouraging people to achieve qualifications and to make the most of their capabilities.  This is one of the reasons I decided to become a Life Coach, what I found was that people had the ability but what they lacked was the confidence or the skills to break down things to manageable chunks.  Life coaching is about just that, looking at the bigger picture then looking at how the individual will be able to achieve their goals."

Helen Qualified as a coach through the UK college of Life coaching and then also did additional training with them for Work/Life Balance.  The UK College of Life Coaching is now owned by the Coaching Academy

Walking the walk – walking for health

I have discovered walking for health is the most inspiring type of exercise, not only do you get fitter but it gives you time to think and to clear your head.  If you decided to have fitness sessions with me, it might be that we start with a simple walk and then go from there. 

I began my “quest” by first completing the Playtex Moonwalk – a marathon at midnight with about 10,000 ladies in decorated bras – for breast cancer.  This continued to develop and I have now completed this task 4 times – twice in London and twice in Edinburgh – where no-one mentioned the hills!!

My fitness has progressed (sometimes slowly) and I now complete Triathlons (12 last year) and I am currently training for the Mazda London Triathlon – with the ultimate aim of completing a half Iron Man in 2011 – I’ll keep you posted!
