What is coaching?
Coaching is a different relationship from any you will have encountered in normal, everyday life. Coaching life skills is dynamic and inspirational, not merely a chat with a friend over coffee. Although a lifestyle coaching session can be fun, it can also be challenging for the client. A friend might agree with you about how hard life is – a coach never would!
Lifestyle coaching is not a “quick fix” to all your problems and should be seen as a way to discover what motivates you to achieve goals over the long term. Lifestyle coaching brings about lasting change but you have to be determined to make changes and meet the challenges. Top
How does lifestyle coaching happen?
I coach people face to face and over the telephone. I always have a 20 minute consultation free of charge to discover what the client wants to achieve through coaching, this is usually over the telephone. I also run business and personal coaching workshops in various locations around the country. Top

Costs for coaching life skills
I charge £35.00 per 1 hour session with discounts for multiple sessions. Business Workshops are based on £85.00 per person for a full day workshop and mini taster workshops (2 hours) are £17.50 per person. Charges for ongoing support with e mail back-up are calculated on a per client basis depending on the support requirements.
Gift vouchers are available at £35 for 1 session or a special offer price of £120 for 4 sessions. This could be the perfect gift for a friend who just can’t seem to get motivated or needs a complete “overhaul”. Work/Life Balance Workshops
A course designed to make you think about your work/life balance. Through this course we look at stress coping strategies and the effects of stress on the body and what you can do to alleviate stress in your life. We also explore
- Values, beliefs and how these limit us
- We analyse all the things we do each day and decide which we could stop doing or even delegate to someone else!
- We get to understand the importance of taking care of ourselves through diet and exercise
- We look at how to spot the signs that we are becoming stressed and find suitable stress coping mechanisms

Happiness workshops
Through helping people to achieve their balanced approach to life and using my background as a teacher and trainer, I devised a series of workshops to increase people’s awareness of their right to be happy. I have been quite shocked to find that many people don’t see being happy as their right and feel that their purpose is to make others happy.
During the workshops we find out about:
- Values, beliefs and attitudes
- Taking responsibility and ownership for happiness
- Self limiting beliefs that stop us from being happy
- How doing things that we enjoy should make us feel happy and not guilty
These workshops are interactive, but I promise there are no role plays! It is an opportunity for people to discover their inner happiness and to take ownership of that feeling and find ways to make sure they get a little bit of happiness everyday. Another little item that works well is to try to bring a little bit of summer into the winter, but not as one lady said “so I have to wear my bikini in December?” – only if she jets off to warmer climes!

Confidence Boosting Workshops
Being confident that we have the right to our own happiness and that we should be listened to and treated with respect is something that many people struggle with. Low self esteem prevents them from being who they really want to be and they rely on others to bolster their egos or to justify their actions. This confidence boosting workshop is about finding out what is really good about being you – in fact what is great about being you!
During these sessions we:
- Understand what it is like to have lost confidence, have low self esteem and the effects of this
- Understand that patterns and beliefs can be changed
- Celebrate our good points
- Challenge our thinking and find little steps to get confident
The outcome of these confidence boosting workshops will be an increase in self awareness and a positive change to the way we think about ourselves. Many people benefit from 1:1 coaching following on from this workshop.

Values, Attitudes, Equality and Diversity Workshops
During this workshop we work through different aspects of equality and diversity in this country and the impact this has on our lives. We also explore our own values and beliefs and how these can be limiting and the impact this can have when working with others. The course can be challenging as it makes you look at the things that really matter to you and how you can bring greater happiness into your own lives by understanding this.
- We briefly visit the legislation surrounding this subject.
- We look at how our attitudes have changed over recent years and the different conflicts that may have occurred.
- We look at how values and beliefs differ across different cultures and the experiences these can bring to us.
