Strawberry Sofa was created from a desire to set achievable, realistic goals and to feel inspired to reach them.  I have a keen interest in health and well-being after many years of being less than healthy through to progressing to completing triathlons and my first half marathon. Strawberry Sofa is here to help you achieve your goals with the help of life coaching and personal training.

  • Walkslim Group on Thursdays in Pittville Park, Cheltenham at 9.30am for those who want to get started on their fitness – easy (ish) 40 minutes walking in the park.  There will also be some simple toning exercises added in if you like.  There are many benefits to the group – increasing your fitness gradually in a non-threatening environment and being in the fresh air – great for motivation – improvements in health expected in about a month!
  • Learn to Run group – fancy starting to run but don’t know where to begin?  This is the group for you – no pressure, no sprinting and I will add in some bottom and tummy shaping exercises as we go.  This is an ideal progression from the Walkslim group but may be a great way to start your running training for the race for life – your progression from this group maybe to have enough confidence to join a running group – I might start one!

Boot Camps

Body Confidence boot Camp Days - £40.00

From 10am to 3.00pm – a day of life coaching and exercise training – all levels can do this.  A good fun day that will leave you thinking and tired in a good way!  I do some life coaching followed by various exercise routines such as walking, jogging, hill climbing right through to core stability training and then some park fit to keep you motivated for the day – all levels so no scary stuff – working at your own pace.  The benefits of this day are:

  • Feeling really motivated to carry out with your fitness
  • Finding out other people feel the same
  • Understanding your fears about exercise
  • Understanding what makes you tick
  • Understanding your barriers to health and exercise

New Training - Kettlebells

This simple exercise can shape you up very quickly – it can be made as hard or as easy as you like.  Works through the back muscles, bottom and backs of legs to bring about improvements in posture.  Works through the core strengthening sagging tummies and tightening waists – I lost 3cm from my waist on my training weekend – an area I really struggle to trim!

Kettlebells can be part of your personal training session or as a session on it’s own – very functional and injury preventative – also gives that strong line to back and shoulders – an all over workout!

12-14 Fitness - Life Coaching & Personal Training from Strawberry Sofa

12-14 Fitness has been created to get people moving and to give sound nutritional education to help people develop their own healthier lifestyle.  We all know what we should be doing but somehow that doesn’t translate to everyday life – or it just doesn’t connect with us as individuals. 12-14 Fitness is a 10 week programme with life coaching sessions, nutritional guidance, dietary information such as calorie allowances, and of course walking, followed by some strength training and stretching.

I created 12-14 Fitness to help people like me, I was very overweight and lacked the motivation to get up and get moving – a couple of years down the line and I completed the London Triathlon at Olympic distance! – Living proof that you can do anything you want when you’re given the right encouragement, achievable and meaningful goals and a positive mental attitude. Walking saved my life – quite simply – and it has gone on to change everything I know about myself – join me and be part of this wonderful feeling!
